Job summary

Viking Electric in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time Warehouse Material Handler - Receiving. You will help move products from our warehouse to customers, filling orders accurately and preparing them for transport.

You’ll work 7:00am-2:00pm Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri, with pay between $20.00 and $25.00 per hour. Training is provided for forklift and handheld scanner, in a fast-paced, safety-conscious team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, or up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift.
• Basic math skills.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation.
• Able to work in various temperatures within our warehouse.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts,or other device (no experience required - we provide training)
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure
