Job summary

SidWainer is seeking a Receiver/Inspector at our New Bedford, MA facility. You will verify incoming products against invoices, manage quality checks, and ensure adherence to HACCP, SQF, and USDA/ FDA guidelines to maintain food safety standards.

You will coordinate with QA and operations to resolve discrepancies, maintain clean receiving areas, and support continuous compliance with company policies. Competitive benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of previous receiving experience.
• Previous quality control experience in a food-related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, allergen awareness, and USDA/FDA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Compares actual received product to invoices/packing slips to ensure quantity and quality meet standards.
• Receives warehouse goods and materials, checking against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Completes all required checklists, reports, and compliance paperwork in a thorough, timely manner.
• Troubleshoots and resolves discrepancies with incoming loads.
• Coordinates FDA inspections to resolve quality issues.
• Transports product to proper location using pallet jacks and forklifts; disposes of trash and cardboard using compactor.

Position Summary: The Receiver/Inspector receives all incoming products from vendors, ensuring proper quality, quantity, and temperature upon arrival. The receiver/inspector is familiar with HACCP, SQF, and USDA/FDA guidelines and procedures and is responsible for the completion of all required paperwork and reporting procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Completes all required checklists, reports, and compliance paperwork in a thorough, timely manner.
• Troubleshoots and resolves any discrepancies with incoming loads.
• Coordinates FDA inspections to resolve any quality issues.
• Transports product to proper location using pallet jacks and forklifts; disposes of trash and cardboard using compactor.
• Maintains cleanliness of receiving area including loading docks and trash site.
• Works with Quality Assurance Team to ensure specific Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed.
• Employee shall adhere to all company food safety policies, procedures, and trainings.
