C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is hiring for a full-time custodian/janitor in Aberdeen, MD. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining a safe warehouse environment, including offices and break areas, with a freezer differential for areas that require it.

The position offers paid training, weekly pay, and benefits from day one. Work involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, and following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean, safe work environment as custodian/janitor.
• Clean entire warehouse including offices, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Maintain housekeeping: sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors.
• Occasionally move products with pallet jack to scrub and clean areas.
• Address spills including damaged product, oil and grease.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes for disposal.
• Follow all equipment safety procedures for material handling.
• Occasionally lift varying case weights; comply with safety guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures for equipment operation.

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
