Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Porter to help keep our distribution centers clean and compliant. You will maintain the offices, warehouse and other areas, participate in spill cleanup, and ensure safety and sanitation across the facility.

The role offers first shift, weekly pay, and benefits from day one, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k, PTO and holiday pay. Training is provided to help you succeed in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean, safe work environment in the warehouse and offices.
• Perform janitorial duties including cleaning office spaces, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors to maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Move products using pallet jack while cleaning designated areas.
• Assist with spill cleanup and proper disposal of waste materials.
• Follow all safety procedures for material handling equipment.

Porters work as a part of a team to reserve a clean and tidy environment throughout our facilities. These critical roles help to support our prideful work environment and the delivery of high quality product to our customers. As a Porter, you will clean and maintain the administrative offices, warehouse and other assigned areas in order to satisfy company and governmental guidelines. You will clean and sanitize designated areas of a warehouse as well as tend to product spill clean-up. All of our employees are expected to make safety their top priority.

Job Description

• Earn $17.00 per hour

• Shift - 1st shift

• Weekly pay

• Location - Bethlehem, Pa

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor

• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms

• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors

• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product

• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.

• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly

• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
