Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a dedicated janitorial professional for first shift in North East, MD. You will maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment and support daily operations in a high-volume distribution setting.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices, break areas, restrooms and warehouse floors, moving products with a pallet jack as needed, and complying with safety procedures. Competitive hourly pay and benefits from day one accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Attendance and a GED or HS diploma required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness.
• Willingness to work the 1st shift in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Clean warehouse, offices, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors.
• Operate electric pallet jack to move product for cleaning.
• Handle spills and dispose of waste properly.
• Follow all material handling equipment safety procedures.
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels.

Position Overview

• 1st Shift: Sun, Mon, Thu, Fri with a 9am start

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
