Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a dedicated custodian/janitor for our Hatfield, MA location to support warehouse operations on the 2nd shift. Earn $19.00 per hour while maintaining a clean, safe environment and assisting with general housekeeping across offices and warehouse spaces.

The role emphasizes ongoing safety practices, physical activity including standing, bending, and lifting, and the ability to operate pallet jacks as needed.

Qualifications

• Attendance and reliability are essential.
• General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher is required.
• High School Diploma or General Studies background is preferred.
• Adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment as a custodian/janitor.
• Cleaning the warehouse, office spaces, break areas, windows, and restrooms.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors.
• Occasionally lifting and moving product with pallet jack and scrubbing as needed.
• Handling spills and disposing of waste properly.
• Following all material handling equipment SOPs.

Job Description

• Earn $19.00 per hour


• Shift - 2nd


• Sunday , Monday , Tuesday, Friday 4pm - 2am


• Location - 95 North Hatfield Road, Hatfield , MA

You will contribute by

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor


• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms


• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors


• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product


• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.


• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly


• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures


• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels


• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift


• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.


• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more


• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead


• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height


• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
