Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Porter to clean and maintain administrative offices, warehouse, and designated areas to meet safety and governmental guidelines. The role includes warehouse cleaning, spill response, and routine maintenance, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

This full-time night-shift position offers pay of $17 per hour plus $2 freezer differential and $1 shift differential, located in Aberdeen, MD 21001.

Qualifications

• GED and HS diploma required.
• Strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.
• Willingness to work night shifts and be available for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for warehouse and offices.
• Perform janitorial duties including cleaning warehouse, offices, break areas, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors to maintain good housekeeping.
• Operate pallet jack for moving products when needed and clean areas.
• Tend to spills and dispose of waste materials properly.
• Follow all material handling equipment safety procedures.

Position Overview

As a Porter, you will clean and maintain the administrative offices, warehouse and other assigned areas in order to satisfy company and governmental guidelines.You will clean and sanitize designated areas of a warehouse as well as tend to product spill clean-up.All of our employees are expected to make safety their top priority.

• Earn $17 per hour + $2/hr freezer differential+ $1/hr shift differential
• Full Time: Night shift
• Aberdeen, MD 21001

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor

• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms

• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors

• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product

• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.

• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly

• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
