Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support filling and packaging orders for shipment. You will maintain inventory, operate warehouse software, and assist with training and improvement efforts while meeting safety and productivity standards.

Responsibilities include packing, labeling, stacking, loading/unloading, and ensuring accurate shipping information. Reading specs, good communication, basic arithmetic, and shift flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of relevant working experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of packing procedures and warehouse operations.
• Ability to stock, move, and rotate items per operating instructions.
• Ability to complete stock description forms and labeling requirements.
• Experience with assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
• Basic use of shrink-wrap, strapping equipment, manual dollies, pallet jacks, and hand tools.
• Basic arithmetic understanding.
• Willingness to flex schedule including overtime or different shift.
• Able to use a ladder to retrieve boxes.

Responsibilities

• Pick or package a variety of printed materials using packing procedures.
• Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping.
• Operate computers and warehouse management software.
• Label packages, bind manuals, and handle boxes for final product.
• Arrange and tag items on pallets or bins for storage.
• Meet productivity and quality standards.
• Identify issues and involve leads/managers for solutions.
• Participate in training and development of staff.
• Count and sort product items.
• Feed, remove, or stack printed sheets and other in-process products.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets and trucks.
• Move materials using hand trucks, forklifts occasionally.
• Assist with special projects or complex orders.
• Maintain security and safety of warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
