Job summary

O'Fallon Casting is seeking a Warehouse Person to support production by receiving and issuing materials, maintaining stock integrity, and helping the shipping department as needed. Responsibilities include verifying incoming quantities, storing items neatly, obtaining proper certifications for metal stock, and completing required safety and forklift training.

The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must meet the physical demands of the job.
• Must acquire a Class E chauffers license within ninety (90) days of start date. (If required.)

Responsibilities

• Shall physically receive incoming material and verify quantity and correctness to open purchase orders where applicable.
• Shall perpetually inventory and store all stock items in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Shall issue all stock items to production based on receipt of a valid requisition.
• Shall assist shipping department as required.
• Shall maintain all records and vouchers in a clean and orderly condition, where accuracy is paramount.
• Shall attend and successfully complete training in the proper techniques of lifting.
• Shall attend and successfully complete a certified forklift driver course.

Primary Function

Receives and issues materials necessary to satisfy production requirements.

Tools and Equipment

Scales, banding equipment, company vehicles, forklift, etc.

Material

Metal, wax, shell material, various other production supplies, etc.

Working Procedure

Under the guidance and direction of the Material Control Person or the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, the Warehouse Person conducts the usual major job duties.

1. Shall adhere to all safety requirements as posted on the job safety card.
2. Shall consistently follow all applicable work instructions.
3. Shall physically receive incoming material and verify quantity and correctness to open purchase orders where applicable.
4. Shall perpetually inventory and store all stock items in a neat and orderly fashion.
5. Shall acquire proper certification of all metal stock from Quality Assurance before it is issued.
6. Shall issue all stock items to production based on receipt of a valid requisition.
7. Shall attend and successfully complete hazardous material / waste handling classes.
8. Shall assist shipping department as required.
9. Shall maintain all records and vouchers in a clean and orderly condition, where accuracy is paramount.
10. Shall attend and successfully complete lockout / tagout training.
11. Shall successfully attend and complete training in the proper techniques of lifting.
12. Shall attend and successfully complete training as a certified forklift driver.
13. Shall maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
14. Shall perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Must be able to tolerate the seasonal temperature demands of the job, including heat in the summer, and cold conditions in the winter.
