Job summary

O'fallon Casting, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Person to receive, store and issue production materials in a fast-paced environment. You will verify quantities, handle stock, and coordinate with Shipping/Receiving to ensure timely availability of supplies.

The role requires physical endurance, adherence to safety rules, forklift operation certification within 90 days, and completion of hazardous material handling training as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Must acquire a class E chauffers license within ninety (90) days of start date. (If required.)

Responsibilities

  • Shall adhere to all safety requirements as posted on the job safety card.
  • Shall consistently follow all applicable work instructions.
  • Shall physically receive incoming material and verify quantity and correctness to open purchase orders where applicable.
  • Shall perpetually inventory and store all stock items in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Shall acquire proper certification of all metal stock from Quality Assurance before it is issued.
  • Shall issue all stock items to production based on receipt of a valid requisition.
  • Shall attend and successfully complete hazardous material / waste handling classes.
  • Shall assist shipping department as required.
  • Shall maintain all records and vouchers in a clean and orderly condition, where accuracy is paramount.
  • Shall attend and successfully complete lockout / tagout training.
  • Shall successfully attend and complete training in the proper techniques of lifting.
  • Shall attend and successfully complete training as a certified forklift driver.
  • Shall maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Shall perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
