Job summary

Brainerd Chemical Company in Seaford, Delaware is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, and distribute materials within the facility. You will move items between receiving, storage, and shipping, and prepare orders for packing.

Responsibilities

  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, chemicals or other stock items. Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks materials with identifying information. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Drives forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to loading dock.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements
  • Must have HS diploma or GED.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Previous experience within an industrial warehouse setting or manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Previous chemical industry experience highly preferred.
  • Must possess basic math skills and be able to perform calculations (weight, counts, and conversions)
  • Must be good with hands and able to work in the elements of all seasons.
