Job summary

Albers Aerospace is seeking a warehouse/material handler to store, receive, and stock materials in a manufacturing setting. You will operate forklifts safely and assist with inventory movements while maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies.

Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills are required; candidates must be able to read instructions, follow safety procedures, and work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Forklift operation experience required.
  • Ability to learn and perform basic computer functions (data entry, email, inventory systems).
  • Basic math skills for counting and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity; safety-focused.
  • Must work well in a team and maintain quality.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Store materials, tools, and supplies in designated areas.
  • Receive, pack, unpack, sort, and stock materials per procedures.
  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Distribute materials to internal customers promptly and accurately.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and assist with reconciliation.
  • Maintain records of material movements and shipments.
  • Assist other departments with material handling as needed.
  • Support housekeeping and organization of warehouse areas.

Job description

Essential Job Functions
  • Store materials, tools, and supplies in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, stockrooms, tool rooms, or other designated areas.
  • Receive, pack, unpack, sort, and stock materials and supplies according to established procedures.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments, inspect materials for damage or defects, and report discrepancies or concerns to supervision.
  • Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Distribute materials and supplies to internal customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and assist with inventory control and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and shipments as required.
  • Assist other departments with material handling needs as required.
  • Support general housekeeping and organization of warehouse and storage areas.
Schedule

Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Flexibility may be required to work additional hours, evenings, or weekends based on production needs.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing and Walking: More than 2/3 of the time

  • Repetitive Finger Motion: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time

  • Visual acuity required for inventory verification and inspection.
Working Conditions

Work performed primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise levels.
