Job summary

SanMar in Ashland, VA is seeking a Warehouse Associate III to unload/load trailers, prepare orders, and support receiving processes. You will operate powered lift equipment, use RF units with High Jump to track products, and help with inventory, invoicing and tagging shipments.

Candidates should have 4–6 years warehouse experience, forklift skills, and a commitment to safety. This role may require overtime and offers a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 4–6 years in warehouse; loading/unloading trailers.
• 1–3 years forklift or heavy equipment experience.
• Must complete SanMar Lift Operator Certification per OSHA.
• Demonstrates ability to follow directions and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load incoming and outgoing trailers, operating powered lift equipment to move product and materials as needed.
• Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Generate reports to acquire data as needed to support error resolution functions in the receiving process.
• Support other functions of the Distribution Center as needed, including error resolution, inventory audits, customer service, and invoicing and tagging shipments.
• Responsible for checking out equipment and returning in same condition on a daily basis. Inspects assigned equipment daily at start of shift.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy warehouse environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
