Job summary

Hentzen Coatings, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager for the Batavia, IL plant to lead daily warehouse operations and drive efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. This hands-on role combines people leadership with active involvement in warehouse tasks.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent, 2–4 years in manufacturing (chemicals/coatings preferred), and strong ERP/Microsoft Office skills. Expect a Monday–Friday first shift with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Two to four years manufacturing experience preferred, ideally in chemicals, coatings, or regulated industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems.
• DOT/IATA/HAZMAT shipping regulations knowledge is preferred.
• Forklift certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience handling domestic and international shipments.
• Understanding of freight rates, load planning, and weight limitations.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping and receiving operations and ensure accurate documentation.
• Direct and train team members involved in shipping, receiving, unloading, and order fulfillment.
• Oversee receipt and unloading of bulk tank wagons and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ERP data for raw materials and finished goods.
• Apply continuous improvement to increase efficiency and product movement.
• Coordinate annual inventory counts and reconcile data in the ERP system.
• Conduct cost analyses of departmental activities as required.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and regulatory training are current.
