Job summary

Essity in Conover, NC is seeking a Warehouse Operator - Outbound/Shipping to support daily order fulfillment. You will pick and pack orders with RF scanning and follow WMS procedures to ensure accuracy and on-time shipment.

Responsibilities

• Proficient use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to follow procedures.
• Review and complete orders; retrieve merchandise from bins or shelves.
• Read order forms to confirm numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities.
• Inspect inventory for defects before shipping; transport using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Place merchandise in totes or pallets for packing or loading onto shipping trucks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders using RF scanning equipment, ensuring safety and timeliness.
• Be proficient in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to follow established procedures.
• Review and complete orders according to established guidelines. Retrieve merchandise from bins or shelves.
• Read order forms to confirm the numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise.
• Inspect inventory items for defects before preparing them for shipment. Transport materials to departments using hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, lift equipment, or conveyors.
• Place merchandise in totes, shipper cartons, carts, or pallets to be processed in packing or wrapping stations before being loaded onto shipping trucks or containers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Must be able to read, write and speak English; required for the safe and effective performance of the job.
• Prior warehouse forklift experience is preferred.
• Basic math aptitude.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform heavy and repetitive lifting, with up to 60 pounds required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
