Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, and ship products. You will count, verify, and organize inventory, and assist with order picking and packing under distribution needs.

The role requires reading, counting, basic math, and the ability to stand/walk for long periods. Physical work includes lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and operating forklift if trained.

Qualifications

• Preferred high school degree; 6 months distribution/warehousing experience or comparable work.
• Must be able to read, count accurately, perform simple math and write legibly.
• Must pass basic math pre-employment test.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inbound Freight: count products, verify against manifest, check for damage and dates.
• Report shortages, damages and mis-shipments on appropriate forms.
• Sign for inbound shipments when necessary.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage (if forklift qualified).
• Maximize space and store items onto racks.
• Ensure correct number and type of product are picked for orders.
• Transport orders to shipping locations with material handling equipment.
• Maintain tidy, safe work areas and operate equipment safely.
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts; ensure proper stock rotation.
• Repack or re-box damaged goods as needed.
