Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a warehouse associate to join our distribution team in Garland, TX. You will receive, store, pick, and ship products, using RF devices where applicable, and ensure accuracy of orders and documentation.

The role requires basic math, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, and the stamina to stand or walk for extended periods. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 6 months distribution/warehousing experience or comparable.
• Must read, count accurately, do simple math and write legibly.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs continuously.
• Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, positive attitude.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate receiving, storing, preparing and shipping orders.
• Count shipments, report shortages, damages and mis-shipments; sign for inbound shipments.
• Unload inbound shipments if forklift qualified; move product to storage locations.
• Store items safely; maximize space usage.
• Ensure correct items are picked and transported to shipping areas.
• Verify outbound shipments against orders and addresses.
• Maintain equipment and keep areas neat and safe.
• Keep inventory records and assist in cycle counts.
