Job summary

CMC provides an opportunity in a dynamic industrial environment, where you will operate a forklift, move materials, and support shipping and inventory tasks in a varied setting. You’ll work in a climate that can vary and will be part of a team ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and safely.

You’ll need at least 1 year forklift/loader experience and 1 year in construction or manufacturing, with strong organization, communication skills, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and

Qualifications

• 1+ year forklift/loader experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in construction or manufacturing.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to work in uncontrolled climate and the elements.
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees and business leaders.
• Great organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• Able to operate hand tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials and items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required.
• Perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling.
• Assist in unloading and loading customers.
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding area.
• Assist in performing inventory on material.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Maintain work area and location organized and clean for orderliness at all times.
• Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization.
