Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a dependable forklift operator to support our manufacturing operations. You will move raw materials, finished products, and production supplies between areas, while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

You must have a High School Diploma or GED and preferably a forklift certification. The role requires outdoor work, adherence to procedures, and a strong safety mindset to help sustain production flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Experience operating forklifts in manufacturing/industrial settings preferred.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedures.
• Ability to inspect and move large concrete products.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts in compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
• Transport materials between manufacturing, storage, and shipping areas.
• Load, unload, and stage products safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Support production schedules by ensuring materials are available.
• Assist with inventory control, product staging, and yard organization.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
