Job summary

Orscheln Farm and Home in Missouri seeks a Warehouse Operator to support the production assembly line with parts and materials, load/unload trailers, and maintain a clean work area.

You will follow safety critical procedures and keep accurate inventory in controlled storage. CDL holders earn additional pay; basic math, scanners, and computer skills are important for daily tasks.

Qualifications

  • High School degree preferred but not required.
  • Forklift license or certification is valued.
  • Strong safety awareness and PPE usage expected.
  • Ability to follow safety critical procedures and accuracy in records.

Responsibilities

  • Supply production assembly with components and materials as requested.
  • Load and unload material from trailers and ensure clean work area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in controlled storage areas.
  • Perform in-plant receiving and weigh-in of purchased material.
  • Provide paperwork to receiving inspection as material is weighed.
  • Supply material to production departments and scan movements.
  • Conduct cycle counts and follow 6S and safety guidelines.
  • Operate all scales after training and adapt to changing duties.
  • Occasionally work at heights up to 20 feet and in varying weather.

Job description

Work Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent lawful resident of the U.S.

Summary:

Warehouse operator is to supply the production assembly department with component parts and/or raw material as requested. Load and unload material from trailers. Must keep work area clean.

Preferred Educational Experience:

High School degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Preferred Work Experience:

Warehouse & forklift experience preferred. Additional pay available for someone with a CDL.

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to perform all safety critical functions. The product must be built to the designated specs approved and can not be deviated or substituted. The control, performance and tolerance are essential for the part to function so that it does not jeopardize public safety or it’s compliance with government regulations.
  • Must be able to recognize and call the critical characteristic symbols as listed on the blueprints.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records with respect to identification, location, and quantity of all parts within “Controlled Storage Areas”.
  • Responsible for in-plant receiving and weighing in all purchased productive material.
  • Supply receiving inspection personnel with proper paperwork from purchased productive material as it is weighed in.
  • Responsible for supplying material to the production departments as requested.
  • Responsible for scanning each movement of material during the shift.
  • Responsible for performing cycle counting duties as scheduled.
