Job Summary

Under full or limited supervision, perform warehouse duties. Uponthe needof the businessto performadditionalrelated duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Must follow all established safety rules and procedure.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards at all levels, and actively participating.
  • Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per company's Code of Conduct.
  • Unload trucks - using forklift truck for boxes as well as occasional use of hand truck.
  • Verify correct product, quantity, appearance, and any special instruction the customer may have for their orders.
  • Performs material handling functions on a daily basis for both domestic and international orders.
  • Daily communication with department Warehouse Lead pertaining to receiving and shipping orders.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and perform area housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Follow all standard operating processes, looking for and responding effectively to hazards in safety, health, security, and environment, taking account of people, plant, community and procedures.
  • Properly store and retrieve raw materials in warehouse, storage areas, and in proper locations.
  • Assists with performing cycle counts.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, such as the handling and preparation of paperwork. May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing any and all task as established by management when needed.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements as established by management.
  • Assist with the Product labeling process by attaching labels to containers.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate changing work schedules and departmental manpower shortages.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to pass forklift test and obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, following all operating instructions effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to read and apply accurate labels.
  • Ability to measure and weigh accurately.
  • Ability to lift and handle containers such as 5-gallon pails up to 50 lb. bags or Boxes up to 50lb.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and mentor less experienced warehouse employees.
Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements

This position quality driven, and requires a person who can think and act with minimal supervision. The person needs to be organized and detail oriented. A person who can identify problems while adhering to all policies surrounding the general and daily work flow. They must have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and work as a team with fellow employees and members of the management.

Education/Experience (minimum requirements/equivalent)
  • Minimum High School
  • Forklift Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related industry
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

May involve moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
