Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to manage all shipping, receiving and material handling activities within the site, emphasizing timeliness, accuracy, continuous improvement and cGMP compliance.

This role reports to the Manager and leads a team of shipping and receiving personnel, develops procedures, tracks metrics, and coordinates with couriers to ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; alternative combinations allowed with experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or warehouse environment for Associate’s degree option.
• 7+ years in manufacturing or warehouse environment for High School option; ERP/MRP exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt of all incoming materials to the site.
• Manage shipment of all materials to customers.
• Coordinate scheduling of shipments with couriers/transporters.
• Oversee flow of materials between warehouse and production.
• Develop and maintain department SOPs according to cGMPs.
• Track internal metrics to measure performance and improvement.
• Lead shipping/receiving team and implement lean practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Associate’s degree with 5+ years experience

High School Diploma with 7+ years experience
