Job summary

Dover Food Retail in South Chesterfield, VA is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, and lead a team focused on lean improvement. Reporting to the Senior Principle Lead Engineer, this role drives 6S, safety compliance, and performance improvements across production support functions.

The ideal candidate has a BS degree in business or engineering and 7+ years in manufacturing with at least 3 years in leadership,

Qualifications

• BS degree (or higher) in business, engineering, or other applicable discipline or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years in a leadership position within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean environment that enhances plant safety. Conduct 6S audits.
• Drive a safety conscious culture that ensures OSHA guidelines are followed.
• Oversee departmental goals including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity.
• Develop a strong team focusing on process management and continuous improvement.
• Drive positive associate relations and team culture.
• Lead root-cause investigations for quality issues and corrective actions.
• Forecast staffing, workload and performance to meet business demands.
• Prepare and analyze production reports for improvements.
• Control WIP and inventory levels, ensure accuracy and audits.
• Manage material movement and provide continuous support to schedules.
• Coach continuous improvement and establish a culture of lean practices.
