Job summary

Keefe’s A/C, Heating, Electrical, & Plumbing seeks an Assistant Warehouse Manager in Harvey, LA to oversee daily warehouse operations and maintain accurate inventory while leading a hands-on team.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration with field operations, vendors, and drivers to ensure timely material availability for installations and services. Schedule typically runs Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• Experience using an inventory management software to track and manage stock.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and chain of custody best practices.
• Ability to supervise and prioritize resources and projects in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to understand and drive KPIs in the warehouse.
• Experience with QC processes in warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient workflow and on-time task completion.
• Assign daily work and prioritize tasks by operations needs and material requirements.
• Coordinate receiving, inspection, labeling, storage, and distribution of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Generator materials and equipment.
• Ensure materials are staged and available for installations and field personnel.
• Monitor truck replenishment to stock company vehicles with required materials.
• Coordinate material return, inspection, documentation, and restocking or disposition.
• Assist with purchase orders by verifying receipts and reporting discrepancies.
• Conduct full physical and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, overages, and damaged materials to management.
• Coordinate warranty returns and ensure proper documentation and timely vendor returns.
• Assist with VMI by monitoring stock levels and replenishment needs.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the system and communicate needs to stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with purchasing, operations, installation teams, vendors, drivers, and management.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
