Qualifications

• One year supervisory experience in USPS-related areas (presort, mailroom, or related).
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access; basic knowledge of MS Word, internet and email.

Responsibilities

• Organize mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes to meet postal deadlines.
• Oversee production workers on designated shift; supervise interviews, training, performance appraisals, and compliance with policies.
• Assist in completing USPS and internal reports, job costing, and ensure clear communication between shifts.
• Suggest improvements to equipment usage, working conditions, and staff motivation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is now hiring for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor in our Las Vegas, NV presort facility!

Salary range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 annual salary + 6% field bonus.

As part of our commitment to a flexible work schedule, this role does not have a set amount of vacation per year.

3rd Shift

Tuesday - Saturday (during peak season, Sept-Jan), 9:45 PM to 6:15 AM

Monday - Friday (Jan-Oct)

As an Operations Supervisor you will work with the team to meet the company’s productivity standards and requirements. You Will:

Under direction from the Operations Manager or Assistant Operations Manager, organizes the mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and type of mail based on current staffing levels to meet postal deadlines.

• Responsible for overseeing the production workers on designated shift. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
• Oversee quality function throughout the production area. Assure TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are followed at all times
• Assist Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations. Assure clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts
• Offer suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Background:

• Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday, 9:45 PM - 6:15 AM
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience in any one of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries)
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access along with basic knowledge of MS Word, internet and email
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, or current maximum allowed by your State. Walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation
• Based on operational needs must be willing and able to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice

For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them.
