Job summary

A leading logistics company is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support operations under the Warehouse Supervisor. Job description

To support continuous improvement and best practices in all aspects of Warehouse Operations, under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager. Support site-specific Air & Ocean Container Freight Stations (CFS), Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Distribution, Cross-border, and all Interdepartmental Warehouse Products. This is achieved through meeting internal company Key Performance Indexes (KPIs) and exceeding customer service expectations, all while operating in a safe and compliant manner. This role requires recurrent compliance training.

  1. Load/unload freight on and off trucks, including floor loads and pallets.
  2. Operate forklift, pallet jacks, pickers, and reach-trucks (propane and electric) safely and in compliance with regulations.
  3. Receive, sort inventories by SKU, Customer, PO#, and process damage exceptions.
  4. Operate radio frequency (RF)/Bluetooth handheld devices.
  5. Handle and log returns or inbound freight in the WMS system.
  6. Remove selected cartons for customs examinations or redistribution.
  7. Process small parcel shipments and train others if needed.
  8. Pick and pack units from master cartons, ensuring proper re-packing to prevent damage.
  9. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  10. Report safety issues or equipment concerns to supervisors and management.
  11. Participate in billing activities, record inventory levels, and double-check counts.
  12. Set up and establish accounts in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  13. Identify and resolve problems that could delay freight movement, including informing customer service of carrier issues.
  14. Manage customer-specific shipping activities, including order picking and fulfillment.
  15. Operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS), specifically RF handheld devices.
  16. Reconcile paperwork and cargo during shipping and receiving processes.
  17. Lead cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
  18. Supervise temporary labor in relevant functions.
  19. Handle cartons related to ULD Build and Breakdown and CCSF Screening.
  20. Work across multiple accounts and understand varying SOPs.
  21. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma/GED.
  2. At least one year of relevant Warehouse or related experience.
  3. Experience in International Freight Forwarding Warehouse Operations is preferred.
  4. Thorough knowledge of distribution activities.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and freight compliance skills.
  6. Ability to be certified on all Machine Handling Equipment (MHEs) and operate them safely.
  7. Good math skills and safety judgment.
  8. Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly and more with assistance.
  9. Ability to work within a schedule, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  10. If applicable, valid vehicle license and compliance with DOT regulations, including passing a physical and being 21+ years old.
  11. If applicable, valid travel documentation (passport) for crossing borders.
  12. Completion of DG Awareness training and TSA certification for CCSF operations.
  13. Knowledge of CFS and FTZ operations and US Air & Ocean Export/Import processes (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with a sit-down propane forklift.

Additional Details:

Shift: Wednesday-Sunday, 8 am to 5 pm.
