To support continuous improvement and best practices in all aspects of Warehouse Operations, under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager. Support site-specific Air & Ocean Container Freight Stations (CFS), Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Distribution, Cross-border, and all Interdepartmental Warehouse Products. This is achieved through meeting internal company Key Performance Indexes (KPIs) and exceeding customer service expectations, all while operating in a safe and compliant manner. This role requires recurrent compliance training.
Responsibilities:
- Load/unload freight on and off trucks, including floor loads and pallets.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, pickers, and reach-trucks (propane and electric) safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Receive, sort inventories, and process damage exceptions.
- Operate RF/Bluetooth handheld devices.
- Handle returns and inbound freight, logging or inputting data into WMS.
- Remove cartons for customs examinations or distribution.
- Process Small Parcel / Ship Manager shipments and train others.
- Pick and pack units from master cartons, ensuring proper repacking to prevent damage.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Report safety issues or equipment concerns to supervisors.
- Participate in billing activities, record inventory levels, and verify counts.
- Set up and establish accounts in the WMS.
- Identify and resolve issues that could delay freight movement, including carrier issues.
- Manage customer shipping activities, including order fulfillment.
- Proficiently operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF devices.
- Reconcile paperwork and cargo for shipping and receiving.
- Lead cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Supervise temporary labor for relevant functions.
- Handle cartons for ULD build/breakdown and CCSF screening.
- Work across multiple accounts and adapt to different SOPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- At least one year of relevant warehouse or related experience.
- Experience in international freight forwarding warehouse operations preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of distribution activities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and safety judgment skills.
- Certification on all Machine Handling Equipment (MHEs) within the facility.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly, more with assistance.
- Ability to work within a schedule and prioritize tasks.
- If applicable, valid driver’s license, physical, and compliance with DOT regulations.
- If applicable, valid travel documentation (passport) for crossing borders.
- Completion of DG Awareness training, TSA certification for CCSF operations.
- Knowledge of CFS, FTZ operations, and US Air & Ocean export/import processes preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.
Additional Details:
Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 8 am to 5 pm.
