Job summary

NR Consulting in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Manager to lead a high-volume warehouse team, oversee receiving, inventory, picking and shipping, and drive safety and efficiency.

You will manage 9–10 direct reports within a 34-person operation, coordinate with production, logistics and customer service, and lead Lean/5S improvements while ensuring ITAR, SOX, and import/export compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of manufacturing/warehouse, shipping, or materials management experience.
• Proven Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving management experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/WMS, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experience with Lean/5S and process improvement.
• APICS certification and Precision software experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations and 9–10 direct reports within a 34-person team.
• Oversee high-volume inbound/outbound logistics, multiple carriers, LTL and parcel shipments.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, cycle counts, picking, and on-time shipments.
• Optimize warehouse processes, carriers, lanes, costs, and overall material flow.
• Lead warehouse transformation through 5S, Lean, standard work, and continuous improvement.
• Promote safety, ergonomics, coaching, mentoring, and positive culture change.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, SOX, import/export, and safety requirements.
• Monitor daily plan vs. actual performance and warehouse KPIs.
• Partner with production, logistics, and customer service teams.

Salary: $100K to $115K + 12.5% target bonus
