Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead a team of 10 in the operation of the headquarters warehouses. You will drive receiving, storage and distribution of materials, implement improvements, and ensure safe, efficient and compliant warehouse operations.

The role focuses on inventory control, KPI tracking, and collaborating with QA to resolve issues, with exposure to SAP and WMS systems as part of a planned transition. A strong leader with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of warehouse leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and SAP transition plans.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 10 warehouse associates in the operation of the client’s warehouses.
  • Develop and improve supply chain strategies and KPIs aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Accountable for inventory control and finished goods shipping.
  • Ensure QA, inventory accuracy, and timely inbound/outbound transactions; coordinate with QA.
  • Conduct physical cycle counts and root-cause analysis for discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for shipping/warehousing.
  • Oversee equipment needs and maintenance; propose capital expenditures and budgets.
  • Oversee safe operation of large specialty forklifts for special projects.
  • Meet shipping volume objectives and report exceptions promptly.
  • Ensure received/shipped products meet quality standards.
  • Serve as go-to expert on WMS and shipping processes; perform daily validations.

Our client is a 198-year-old manufacturer of agricultural equipment, and they are looking for a Warehouse Manager who is a self-starter and who will focus their activities on leading a team in the operation of the headquarters’ warehouses. You will be responsible for controlling and directing the receiving,storage and distribution of all raw, work-in-process, and finished goods material to and from the warehouses. This includes personnel and equipment initiatives to optimize safe, timely, and cost-effective product output.

What you will be doing:
  • Supervise a team of 10 warehouse associates in the effective operation of the client’s warehouses
  • Develop, maintain and work to continuously improve the supply chain strategies and performance goals that are consistent with corporate objectives. Develop and implement long and short-range strategies and operating methods to achieve objectives. Update and evaluate weekly KPIs
  • Be accountable for all controlled inventory and finished goods shipping and warehouse duties.
  • Ensure accountability for all quality assurance, inventory accuracy, and timely transactions for inbound and outbound products. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve any quality issues identified through the final preparation for shipping.
  • Control inventory accuracy by conducting physical cycle counts and reconciling with the data storage system. Determine root causes of inventory inaccuracies and expedite corrective action.
  • Ensure that shipping/warehousing facilities operate in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Oversee the equipment requirements and maintenance programs for shipping/warehousing (i.e.: large/small forklifts, cranes, etc.). Develop proposals for capital expenditures and expense budgets.
  • Oversee the safe operation of the large, specialty forklift for special project requests outside of the shipping function
  • Meet all periodic shipping volume objectives and immediately report exceptions.
  • Ensure that all products received or shipped uphold the company quality standards for packaging and completeness
  • S erve as the go-to expert on the WMS and shipping processes, along with the supporting computer programs. Perform daily validations within the programs
What they are looking for:
  • Solid warehouse operations experience for a manufacturing operation and at least 2 years of prior warehouse leadership experience
  • Knowledge of a warehouse management system, they will be moving to SAP within a couple of years
  • The greater your relevant academic experience the better, but the work experience is paramount
  • Good leadership and communication skills
