Job summary

Lineage seeks an experienced operations leader in Norfolk, VA to direct a medium-sized warehouse, drive strategic plans and manage daily activities in a high-variance environment.

You will oversee recruiting, training, and development of staff while achieving KPIs, optimizing costs, and ensuring safety and quality in food handling. A strong background in Six Sigma/LEAN and WMS is required, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years’ Operations Management experience in Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience with strategy/annual planning (budget, SOPs, etc.).
• Experience with Six Sigma and/or LEAN.

Responsibilities

• Direct, recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Achieve company performance goals and KPIs (LTR, truck turn times, customer service).
• Review and analyze warehouse activities and costs to drive process improvement.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager on marketing and sales efforts, including planning new account strategies, prospecting new accounts, negotiating contracts, and quoting rates.
• Establish and ensure facilities have excellent customer service and client relationships.
• Monitor and control budgets, capex, MHE and space utilization to meet targets.
• Support initiatives to ensure proper receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of food meeting Lineage safety and quality standards.
