Job summary

Wagner Logistics in Liberty, MO is seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate and supervise all warehouses’ activities under the Warehouse & Transportation Manager, overseeing receiving, warehousing, shipping, and transporting to meet service and cost objectives.

You’ll lead inbound/outbound scheduling with carriers, supervise unloading, ensure accuracy of paperwork, manage safety, inventory, labor, and records, and collaborate with customers and vendors to maintain high performance.

Qualifications

• Education: Partial college required; bachelor’s degree in supply chain/Logistics or Business Administration preferred.
• Experience: Five or more years of warehouse supervisory experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge/Skills: Managing daily warehouse operations, staffing, safety, inventory controls, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound scheduling with third‑party carriers and supervise unloading, staging, and picking.
• Maintain understanding of customer requirements and communicate standards to personnel.
• Ensure safe operation of material handling and transportation equipment and coordinate maintenance.
• Establish work schedules for warehouse personnel and ensure timely, safe completion of tasks.
• Maintain product locator system and optimize space utilization; conduct physical inventories.
• Ensure compliance with security, safety policies, and regulatory requirements in operations.
• Direct labor management, including supervision, coaching, performance management, and staffing.
• Oversee records and reporting, ensuring documentation meets customer specifications.
• Conduct shift meetings and act as liaison between employees and management; collaborate with customers, vendors, and departments.
