Job summary

Carboline is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead all warehouse operations at the Lake Charles, LA facility. The role oversees shipping, receiving, inventory control, and organization while driving safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of direct supervisory or management experience, a forklift certification, and the ability to implement procedures and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years supervisory or management experience.
• Forklift certification required or able to obtain.
• Ability to read procedures and safety rules; proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assigns employees to specific tasks to meet shipping schedules with minimal overtime.
• Manage gathering, stenciling, and loading of orders for shipment.
• Maintain hazardous materials certification and keep employee certifications up to date; train as needed.
• Monitor orders for shipment per the Warehouse Manual and ensure on-time performance.
• Coach, motivate, and discipline staff as needed while maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain housekeeping practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support hazard recognition and incident reporting per policy and participate in safety investigations.
• Oversee inventory integrity through cycle counts and variance control.
• Coordinate with shipping on movement of finished goods to distribution centers.
• Coordinate export orders with transportation for on-time shipments.
• Participate in special projects and environment regulations compliance.
