J&L Building Materials in New Castle, DE, seeks a Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day operations, train staff, and uphold safety, efficiency, and accuracy. You will collaborate with the Branch Manager to optimize shipping/receiving, inventory control, and resource management.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, ERP proficiency, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Prior supervision, forklift experience, and OSHA awareness are highly valued in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience within the past 5 years.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience.
• Ability to learn ERP or inventory management systems; Traverse experience a plus.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills including percentages, measurements, and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the Warehouse staff, providing coaching, direction, and performance oversight.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to align operations and coordinate with sales, purchasing, production, and records management.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational procedures for shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory management.
• Utilize Traverse ERP to monitor inventory levels, process transfer requests, and maintain accurate warehouse records.
• Oversee processing and disposition of returned, damaged, or surplus materials.
• Coordinate intra-company transfers between branches, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and promote a culture of workplace safety.
• Train and onboard new warehouse employees with proper safety training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
