Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Warehouse Department Manager to lead daily warehouse operations on 1st and 2nd shifts. The role requires directing shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment while coaching and developing warehouse staff.

Candidates should have at least 7 years in warehouse or distribution roles, with strong leadership and OSHA safety knowledge. This direct-hire position focuses on productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or distribution experience.
• Leadership experience supervising and training warehouse associates and hourly employees.
• Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
• Experience managing productivity, safety, employee performance, and workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume warehouse environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
• Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to ensure productivity and efficiency goals are met.
• Monitor workflow and staffing levels to support customer demands and production schedules.
• Ensure accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipment of materials and finished goods.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper tracking, auditing, and inventory control procedures.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with operations, production, and transportation teams to ensure efficient material flow.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare reports and maintain operational records as required.
