Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 year degree from a post-secondary accredited school preferred.
• 3 years of food manufacturing or related experience preferred.
• General understanding of continuous improvement and lean principles.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge to operate related production equipment.
• Ability to identify root cause and reflect corrective actions in SOPs.
• Certified as an SQF practitioner.
• Foundations in Leadership Training completed.
• Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and drive efficiencies.
• Intermediate math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Defines, creates and achieves standard work for the assigned business unit.
• Operates equipment and understands processes to maximize yield, rate and availability.
• Leads by example, training and positive employee relations.
• Leads Basic Equipment Care (BEC) activities in the area.
• Investigates and resolves non-routine equipment upsets impacting safety, quality, or uptime.
• Supports, implements and maintains food safety practices through SQF.
• Trains and coaches employees on new equipment and procedures.
