Job summary

UFP Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager in St. Charles, IL to lead warehouse operations, ensure accurate inventory, and oversee shipping. You will mentor staff, enforce safety, and drive continuous improvement in logistics processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating receiving/shipping, conducting counts, managing budget and performance, and collaborating with production, planning, and finance to optimize throughput and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
• 3–5 years warehousing and management experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 3–5 years ERP experience, Sage 100 preferred.
• Bi-lingual English - Spanish preferred.
• Strong project management, decision-making and planning abilities.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff and deliver feedback effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a high-volume logistics operation and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Directs warehousing activities and supervises staff to meet safety and efficiency goals.
• Promotes safety, quality, and customer focus in warehouse operations.
• Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions and promote a safety culture.
• Supervises inventory control, space management, logistics, and shipping.
• Schedules team and optimizes workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Establishes procedures for receiving, storage, and shipping; manages inventory and gate processes.
• Ensures accurate receiving, shipping, and timely transactions.
• Performs counts and reconciles inventory with Purchasing and Finance.
• Keeps warehouse clean and organized; conducts 5S events.
• Coordinates with other functions to align schedules and costs.
• Participates in quality corrective action meetings.
• Coordinates recycling programs with outside contractors.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
