Job summary

UFP Technologies is seeking a Shipping / Receiving Manager in Chicopee, MA to oversee shipping, receiving, inventory and traffic, ensuring accurate, timely material flow to production and customers. The role requires 5 years in shipping/receiving and at least 1 year in supervision, with ERP experience (Epicor and SAP) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5 years Shipping/Receiving and Warehousing experience.
• 1 year Supervisory/Team Lead experience, preferred.
• Good understanding of Epicor (ERP), preferred.
• SAP experience, preferred.
• Demonstrated flexibility, sense of urgency, and ability to complete tasks quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality.
• Proficiency in simple math, accurate counting.
• Demonstrated ability to function efficiently in a high-volume logistics operation and execute transactions in an IT system, such as a Warehouse Management System.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute positively to team morale.

Responsibilities

• Directs warehousing activities for organization by performing duties personally or through subordinates.
• Manages scheduling of company truck to pick-up raw materials for production in two facilities and off-site storage containers.
• Establishes procedures for verification of incoming/outgoing shipments and inventory control.
• Schedules customer deliveries using company trucks, carriers or LTL services.
• Oversees Inventory management and cycle counts.
• Ensures shipping transactions are accurate and timely.
