Job summary

Pollak Food Distributors in Ohio is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Manager to oversee daily distribution center operations, drive safety, productivity, and efficiency across receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and fleet dispatch.

You will lead a team, implement data-driven improvements, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards. The role combines hands-on floor leadership with strategic analysis to keep the supply chain moving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
• Hands-on experience with WMS, ERP software, and RF scanning.
• Deep understanding of warehouse hardware operation and safety standards.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, labor laws, FDA, DOT, and warehouse safety standards.
• Excellent analytical and logistics troubleshooting abilities; capable of managing shifting priorities under pressure.
• Ability to navigate a large warehouse floor daily and lift up to 50 lbs if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of warehouse personnel (including stockers, order selectors, and forklift operators).
• Streamline receiving, picking, and shipping workflows to maximize throughput and minimize order cycle times.
• Partner with inventory control to maintain 99.9% stock accuracy and optimize layout and slotting.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and safety protocols; manage equipment maintenance schedules.
• Oversee staging and loading of delivery trucks to ensure on-time dispatch.
• Monitor and report KPIs such as order accuracy, cost per order, and labor efficiency.
