Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Hebron, KY is seeking an Assistant Distribution Manager to oversee training and scheduling for warehouse shifts and to ensure accurate receiving, put-away, and outbound shipments.

You will work with the Supply Chain team to minimize errors, enforce safety rules, and drive efficiency through streamlined procedures. A bachelor's degree is preferred and 3-5 years warehousing experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in outbound and inbound warehousing, preferably foodservice.
• Experience with AS/400 mainframe and MS Office.
• Experience managing a large warehouse staff.
• Ability to read reports and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and scheduling for warehouse shifts.
• Minimize mistakes and waste through supervision.
• Enforce sanitation and safety standards (OSHA).
• Ensure manpower coverage for shifts and safe staffing levels.
• Develop procedures for receiving, unloading, sorting, storing freight.
• Review layout and slotting to optimize order pulling.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Supply Chain.
• Support maintenance of warehouse equipment and safety standards.
• Aim for monthly throughput goals and manage overtime.
• Train warehouse personnel and develop future leaders.
• Assist in researching new methods to improve efficiency.
