Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Warehouse Manager Assistant to support the Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager in daily warehouse tasks, inventory control, and order fulfillment. The role involves coordinating workflows, training, and contributing to Lean and 5S initiatives in a hands-on environment.

The position emphasizes organization, safety, and continuous improvement, with partnership across Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, and Quality departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, inventory, or material handling.
• Forklift experience required or willingness to become certified.
• Experience with UPS WorldShip and/or FedEx Ship Manager preferred.
• Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement practices a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily warehouse operations, workflow, and employee coordination.
• Organize and assign daily tasks based on workload and priorities.
• Provide instructions and monitor for accuracy, safety, quality, and compliance.
• Assist with picking, packing, staging, shipping, receiving, and material movement.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure orders are pulled, packed, labeled, and shipped on schedule.
• Assist with domestic and international shipments, including small parcel and LTL freight.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Support 5S, housekeeping, and proper material storage.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, and processes.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement projects.
