Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the warehouse team, coordinate receiving, storage and distribution activities, and ensure safe, efficient operations from receipt to delivery. You will guide pullers, receivers, cycle counters and order pickers while maintaining accurate records and enforcing OSHA standards.

The role emphasizes staff planning, training, performance management and collaboration with maintenance to keep equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supervisory/leadership experience in warehousing
• 5+ years related warehouse experience
• Proficiency with WMS, Excel, scanner, internet and email

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a hazards-free environment
• Coordinate duties to ensure adequate staffing and workflow
• Lead pullers, receivers, cycle counters and order pickers
• Transmit and explain work orders to staff
• Prepare and maintain work records and reports
• Participate in safety meetings and training
• Assist in budgeting, planning and scheduling
• Assist in hiring processes and staff development
• Inventory management from receipt to delivery to shop and docks
• Maintain coordination of maintenance/repair of warehouse equipment
