Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Warehouse Operations Lead in Manteno, IL to coordinate and supervise daily activities and direct work assignments under the Operations Supervisor.

You will partner with shift leadership to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals, oversee receiving, put away, picking, loading, and ensure accurate inventory reporting while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is preferred.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle changing priorities and stay composed under pressure.
• Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
• Ability to input data to create daily inventory reports.
• Accurate recordkeeping and sorting, counting and verifying items received.
• Strong time management, organization and motivation.
• MHE experience or willingness to learn MHE.
• Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hands-on support in Material Handling and Forklift responsibilities
• Drives compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives
• Brainstorms and suggests new ideas on how to improve processes to supervisor
• Communicates professionally, both orally and written, to internal and external partners
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assists in finding solutions to problem areas.
• Ensures efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment
• Trains new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs
• Ensures the warehouse is clean and orderly; including but not limited to organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping warehouse, and assist in staging orders for delivery
• Ensure product is stored safely and in the proper place.
• Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse
• Additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.

Overview

Warehouse Operations Lead has general responsibility to assist in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for directing work assignments in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $21.75 HOUR. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay. This position may also be eligible for an additional $X/HOUR based on shift work.
