Job summary

NFI Industries in Commerce City, CO is seeking a Warehouse Operations Lead to assist in coordinating and supervising daily warehouse activities. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will direct work assignments and support material handling and forklift operations.

You will drive safety, quality, and productivity goals, train staff on SOPs, and help improve processes. This role requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional with warehouse exposure and WMS experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and stay calm under pressure.
  • Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
  • Ability to input data to create daily inventory reports.
  • Accurate recordkeeping and item verification.
  • Strong time management, organization and self-motivation.
  • MHE experience or willingness to learn MHE.
  • Attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with shift leadership to achieve shift goals.
  • Oversee and coordinate receiving, put away, picking, and loading of products.
  • Direct work assignments to employees.
  • Provide daily hands-on support in material handling and forklift tasks.
  • Ensure safety, quality and productivity goals are met.
  • Suggest process improvements to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external partners.
  • Identify and raise issues to management; help resolve problems.
  • Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Train new and current employees on SOPs and WIs.
  • Keep warehouse clean, organized, and inventory properly labeled.
  • Store products safely and in correct locations; assist in staging orders.
  • Assist in warehouse security and perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Warehouse Operations Lead has general responsibility to assist in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for directing work assignments in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals
  • Oversees and coordinates warehouse processes such as receiving, put away, picking, and loading of products.
  • Directs work assignments to employees
  • Provide daily hands-on support in Material Handling and Forklift responsibilities
  • Drives compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives
  • Brainstorms and suggests new ideas on how to improve processes to supervisor
  • Communicates professionally, both orally and written, to internal and external partners
  • Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assists in finding solutions to problem areas.
  • Ensures efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment
  • Trains new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs
  • Ensures the warehouse is clean and orderly; including but not limited to organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping warehouse, and assist in staging orders for delivery
  • Ensure product is stored safely and in the proper place.
  • Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System
  • Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
  • Ability to input data on the computer to create a daily inventory report.
  • Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
  • Strong time management, organizational, planning and self-motivation skills.
  • MHE experience or desire to learn MHE
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail

The base hourly pay rate for this posting is between $26.90 hour . The base hourly pay range is a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay, while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance and tenure. The range listed is just one component of NFI's total compensation package for employees.
