Job summary

Wesco is a Fortune 500 distributor in the United States seeking a full-time Operations Coordinator in Texas. You will analyze complex data, calibrate measurements, and support the warehouse team to meet customer commitments.

As a key member of the operations group, you will lead small projects, coordinate with carriers, and manage daily orders in our warehouse system while maintaining inventory documentation. We offer competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• 3+ years of order management experience within a warehouse or production environment
• Experience communicating professionally in written and verbal forms
• 1 year of operational or administrative experience preferred
• 1 year of understanding administrative and clerical procedures and systems preferred
• 1 year of customer service and inside sales experience preferred
• 1 year of logistics and warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge of warehouse management and order management systems
• Ability to adapt priorities quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Team-oriented and detail-focused

Responsibilities

• Supports the local operations team with coordinated efforts specific to the location
• Prepares reports as necessary
• Identifies bottlenecks and works with management to resolve issues
• Coordinates with carriers and local managers to align employees and workflow
• Acts as team lead on small projects when Supervisor is away
• Manages multiple communication systems to fulfill internal requests
• Manages daily order and task production in the warehouse management system
• Prioritizes customer requests in the system
• Ensures all 'must ship today' orders are processed domestically and internationally
• Provides daily assistance for picking, packing and shipping
• Maintains Inventory documentation
• Performs other duties as assigned
