Job summary

Schuman Cheese in Elgin, IL, seeks a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will lead a two-shift team, coach staff, ensure safety, maintain accuracy, and coordinate inbound/outbound freight to meet production schedules and customer needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse/distribution/logistics with supervision experience.
• Experience with forklift operations and safety standards.
• Experience with ERP/WMS and inventory control.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, staging, loading and shipping.
• Lead, train, coach, and evaluate staff across two shifts to ensure safety and productivity.
• Maintain accurate inventory via cycle counts and reconciliations; document discrepancies.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound freight, carrier scheduling and shipping documentation.
• Monitor KPIs like accuracy, on-time shipments, and safety performance.
