Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command in Chino, CA is seeking a Warehouse Operations Clerk (OA) to support NEX Store and warehouse operations, including preparing and verifying documents, maintaining records, and compiling reports.

Responsibilities include handling shipping/receiving, invoicing, and coordination with vendors and internal teams. HazMat training is required within 90 days of hire; 1 year of clerical experience is expected, with substitutions for education possible.

Qualifications

• HazMat training within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year progressively responsible clerical or office work.
• 1 year progressively responsible experience performing clerical or administrative support duties.
• 1-2 year academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 6 months of 1 year of general and 1 year specialized experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives, prepares, processes, and/or verifies documents such as accounting, shipping and receiving, transfer, RPCs, BOL, and chargebacks; manually or through automated systems.
• Researches and resolves discrepancies; coordinates processing with appropriate personnel; ensures timely submission.
• Compiles and consolidates statistical data from warehouse, distribution, and vendors for reports.
• Maintains records, logs, and files related to warehouse and store backroom operations; types correspondence and reports.
• Accesses multiple computer systems as needed for data processing.
• Receives and makes telephone calls; answers questions based on general office knowledge.
• Maintains liaison with vendors, shippers, accounting, procurement, and other personnel.
• May requisition and maintain office supplies; assists with inventory; sorts/distributes mail; may perform timekeeping duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned; supports courtesy and service to internal and external customers.
• Works under supervision, with independence within defined responsibilities; spot checks ensure accuracy and procedural compliance.
