Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to prepare customer orders for shipping and assist production in a fast-paced environment. You will build skids, pack orders, and ensure shipments meet AMI quality standards.

You may operate cutting tools and packing equipment as needed. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and reading skills, and a willingness to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.
• Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
• Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures.
• Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards.
• Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements.
• Properly stencils shipping information as required.
• Provides maintenance and keeps records of all equipment assigned.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Participates in TDM and SPC meetings.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
