Job summary

TekniPlex in Decatur, IN is seeking a forklift operator to manage movements of raw materials, WIP and finished goods. The role requires OSHA forklift qualification and the ability to work a 12-hour night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. You will handle shipping paperwork, staging orders, and maintain inventory accuracy.

The position is on-site and involves heavy lifting and adherence to safety protocols. You will train department staff and support both production and extrusion teams to meet production

Qualifications

• Must be proficient and OSHA qualified to operate a forklift.
• Ability to interpret paperwork such as sales orders, bills of lading, and production schedules.
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, 5:45am-6pm on a 2.2.3 Schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and operates powered lift on daily basis.
• Assembles & Stages customer orders by pulling the proper product from inventory.
• Follows FIFO on all shipping, WIP, & FG processes
• Assists with transferring Finished Goods and/or Raw Material to/from outside warehousing.
• Assists with training of department personnel.
• Completes required paperwork including sales orders, bills of lading, loading checklist, and shipping logs.
• Supports production and extrusion departments to ensure efficiency.
• Maintains organization of Finished Goods and Work in Process material.
• Participates in plant safety/housekeeping activities.
