Job summary

TekniPlex in Decatur, IN is seeking a forklift operator to manage movement of raw materials, WIP and finished goods. Proficiency with forklifts and OSHA qualifications are required.

The role involves operating a powered lift, handling receipts and shipments, and maintaining accurate paperwork in a 2-2-3 12-hour night schedule. You will stage orders, follow FIFO across processes, and assist with transfers to external warehouses.

Qualifications

• Must be OSHA qualified to operate a forklift.
• Ability to read and interpret department paperwork (sales orders, bills of lading, production schedules).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and operate powered lift daily.
• Assemble & stage customer orders by pulling product from inventory.
• Follow FIFO in shipping, WIP, and FG processes.
• Assist with transferring Finished Goods and Raw Material to/from outside warehousing.
• Help train department personnel.
• Maintain required paperwork (sales orders, bills of lading, loading checklist, shipping log, inspections).
• Support production and extrusion to ensure efficiency.
• Keep Finished Goods and WIP organized; resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in plant safety/housekeeping activities.
• Work 2-2-3 rotation, 12-hour nights 5:45pm–6am.
