Job summary

• Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Identify numerous finished products; perform SAP transactions; perform routine forklift checklist; change forklift battery with proper PPE; operate hoist inspection; assist unloading raw materials/packaging materials; bale plastic/cardboard and take away trash to compactor.
• Special Skills: Trained to perform various jobs within the warehouse according to skill level and physical demands.

JOB TITLE: Material Handler

Schedule: 12 Hour Night Shifts (6:30pm-7:00am), Days worked will rotate.

BASIC PURPOSE

The Material Handler is responsible for picking orders and loading/unloading cases of product to and from trailers and containers, and must ensure the accuracy of all orders picked and also inspects the cases and product for quality issues. The incumbent will ensure that the appropriate materials are supplied to their assigned production areas and lines, will shrink-wrap any material to be stored / or returned to the warehouse, and will check Pallet tickets and loads for accuracy.

Essential Functions

1. 35% Duty: Supply materials to the line
2. 35% Duty: Remove finished goods from line
3. 20% Duty: SAP Transactions
4. 10% Duty: Forklift required checks

Job Qualifications

• Education (Minimum Needed): High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English
• Experience (Minimum Needed): The position holder must become certified to operate a forklift and pass a mandatory forklift physical
